RVA Autumn Class Project 5

Nyt sitten se viitos-projektikin on valmis. Kirjoen piti tehdä tekstityyny. Ja koska teen aina kaiken vähän hankalimman kautta, halusin tehdä tyynyn vanhasta neuletakista, jossa hihat olivat liian lyhyet käyttöön ja kaulus kutitti. Siitä syystä tässä hieman kesti. Oli yllättävän hankalaa ommella neuleesta tyyny. Piti tehdä pariin kertaan. Samoin tuo kirjailu piti tehdä pariin otteeseen kun ensin tuli liian pieni. Ja kai puolipiste ja kaarisulku lasketaan tekstiksi? En halunnut meille tyynyä, jossa olisi kirjaimellisesti lukenut jotain...

Project five is finally ready. I had an old cardigan (too short sleeves and itchy collar) that had been waiting to be transformed into pillowslip (knitwear is surprisingly hard to sew). And because I wasn't too happy about doing a pillow with a text on it, I decided to make an emoticon (or smiley?) instead. Semicolon and round bracket can be interpreted as a text. Right? This project took a long time to finish because I had to do everything twice - the pillowslip and the embroidery. I kept the buttons so the pillowslip can easily be removed for washing.
